Blueprints Blankie

Represents the comfort I have found in blueprints of homes I have moved to. Patches depict past rooms and empty spaces suggest future ones: an evolving patchwork of memories and hope. The composition is inspired by Charlotte Salomon's Gouache Illustration and using bleach on sheets evokes Catherine Jansen's The Blue Room. Removing with bleach and adding textiles parallels the ups and downs of moving. The ironic title echoes how I condense my complex cultural story when summarizing it casually.
