ABOUT
ME!

My name is Julia and I am a Brazilian-Italian filmmaker, production designer, and visual artist who grew up as a third culture kid; having moved from London, to New York and Italy. I bring my collaged cultural identity into everything I create from films, set design, visual collages, pottery, and woven pieces. I find that the confusion I am aiming at to unravel resonates with so many people trying to understand their own identities- women, the queer and Latinex communities. To me, I create for the process of collaboration and developing my craft, discovering new dimensions of myself, and putting strong Latinex/Brazilian and women's stories at the forefront of many different art forms.
My "Collaged" Perspective
