Artifacts We Bring Along

A final artifact of my memories inspired by Greek vases. Tiers of patterns/textures relating to Brazil, moving, and Milan are separated with thread, symbolizing the connection between them, a final look at my series' journey. Cartoon-like images and annotations draw from works by Daphne Christophorou and Grayson Perry. Bold colors and a childlike style evoke memories of painting "Ceramica" or ceramics with my grandmother. This vase reminds me to connect with younger versions of myself.
